Information for a safer Duluth
"We cannot work towards meaningful solutions without being honest about where we are standing"
We analyze and publish data showing racial disparities in local policing practices. We use academically informed and transparent methods in order to start the discussion with the facts.
Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) folks in Duluth have long shared their experiences of racial profiling and violence by the police. We believe that uplifting the stories of directly impacted people is crucial to building a better future.
Local organizers are working to ban unjust traffic stops, create a community crisis response service, improve county jail healthcare, perform a racial bias audit of the DPD, and remove cops from ISD 709 schools. Learn the specifics about the initiatives and get involved!
Our initiatives don't stand a chance without communication and collaboration with each other. Check-out our email list, newsletter, press releases and other organizations that you can work with.
